@00:16Ahh, yeah I was just using my speakers, I will watch it again with headphones!

Can you tell what it is?

Lets your eyes wander freely to sounds inspired by the photograph.

---

notes:

Listen with headphones or turn your speakers up. Otherwise you may have silence for the first 16 seconds.

This is a photograph taken by me. When I uploaded it into my computer I then composed sound over the top of it in responce to how it was making me feel... Painting with sound, if you will.

Also, guest vocals by my friend Jonny Walker.

@01:14If you ask me, all it needed was SOMETHING at the end. Perhaps for that screen to shake, the water splatters off, the end. Just to fade it out seems... I dunno. Pretty cool, but not exactly my cup of tea, as the British say.

And yes, I realize it's a photo, but I hit "play" before I read the comments, so I just reiterated what I was thinking during it, then I saw it was a RL uploaded picture.

While I am not going to comment on the deviation in question, I would like to ask a question of those who are naysaying this as a film.

Derek Jarman made and released a film called Blue, which consisted of a static blue screen with a soundtrack.[link]

This is the same style and if it's good enough for Jarman, it's good enough for me.

@00:57Being the kind of person to make an initial comment and then read other comments from critics and come back to comment again, I am once again commenting on this piece.

To those of you who say this is not a film because it isn't moving...film doesn't always move. Take for instant a still shot of a forest. You don't necessarily see anything move, but you do hear birds chirping, perhaps the babbling of a brook, snapping twigs, the wind...that would be a film. Likewise, this is a film, and it does move. That's the point of the sound. Sure, without the sound it would be a still picture, and a rather interesting one at that, but the sound that was added should inspire different emotions, perhaps even memories. And I'm not just spouting gibberish, take a Psychology class if you don't believe me.

Once again to THIRTEENninetySIX, great work. Obviously very controversial, as good experimental art should be. Now, to guess what the picture is...

It seems that you're looking out at the sky through some sort of screen with water droplets on it...I'm just not sure what that screen is...reminds me of the thing that goes over a speaker...
